"What kind of pizza did you say this was?" Christina asks, taking another bite of the pizza, her gaze shifting over to look at Peyton. "Because it's amazing."

where - literally just a random street, u pick
Luce was following the gps on her phone as covertly as she could, airpod in her ear dictating which streets to turn on to get her home since she'd only lived here for all of two weeks. But then the directions stopped and she pulled her phone out her pocket, huffing out a breath as she looked at the black screen and then the red battery symbol. Great. She started walking in the direction she hoped was correct- or at least towards a place that had food, and she paused for a second when she saw a somewhat familiar face before she decided fuck it, and went over.
"Hey there...I think you live on my floor at Ocean Crest? Wanna be a good samaritan and tell me if I'm at all going in the right direction? Or at least in the direction for pizza? ..There is a pizzeria in this town, right?"

where: aurora bay library
It felt as though Wes' life had been changing nonstop since he moved to Aurora Bay. First it was having a baby and getting married, now it was changing jobs and going to college. He was supposed to start his summer classes Monday, which meant his job as a work study started then too. But now he was there because he was supposed to be given a tour of the building.
"Hi." Wes greeted the man at the front desk. "I'm Wes. I'm here for... a tour or something?"

"Crack the eggs, crack the eggs!" Mantis happily sang to herself, attempting to avoid making a mess as she cracked open the shells. Unfortunately, she missed the bowl and she left a yolky mess on the counter as her attention shifted to the toast popping up from the toaster. "Oh, yay! Toast!" she cheered, smothering her overdone toast with butter before turning back to her abandoned attempt at pancakes. "Okay... so now I stir this and pour it into the pan." Mantis carefully dipped her mixing bowl over the skillet, dumping a rather large amount of clumpy batter into the center. Her attention was drawn away once again as her roommate joined her, a bright smile crossed the alien's face as she greeted the other warmly. "Hi! I'm making breakfast!"

"You're crazy if you really think I'm going to share kettle corn instead of getting my own!" Sage laughed as she stepped up to the booth to purchase her own bag.
"Have you figured out what you're dressing up as for Halloween yet?"

"If there's one thing I live for - it's kettlecorn." Peyton explained as he held two bags up. It was his favorite part of fall. Sure, he could get it at any time of the year, but it felt much more special during the fall especially close to Halloween. "You'll have to get your own though." He said, dropping his arms to his sides.

With a serene expression, she joined Peyton on the floor, hugging her knees to her chest while she contemplated the advice Peyton had given. "You make a point," Mantis said softly, thinking about how much of her life had already been dictated by a man. She had vowed as part of her experience here that she would do what she wanted. "I do really like their donuts... especially their cheesecake donut. I have no clue where'd I'd find something like it." Her focus shifted to the cats and their discarded leashes. "Did you want me to calm them down for you?"
Peyton made a scrunched up face -- both in distaste at the whole catcalling situation and her actual cats who decided to mutiny against her apparently. She gave up on the cat leashes and looked up at her friend. "Or," she said, sitting crosslegged on the floor. "You could keep going to your favorite donut spot and ignore them. Give them like a big screw you." She shook her head, "Babycakes, if you let gross guys dictate where you go in life, you'll literally never go anywhere."

Peyton was at Sammie’s a lot now, with work and just generally enjoying the atmosphere of the place. She was enjoying a drink at the bar when she spotted Aiko and watched her for a bit before smirking. “You eye that stage like someone who’s been on one before,” she remarked, mostly just taking a guess anyways.
#c: aiko#m: peyton#I just sort of went with this angle but if you’d like me to change anything pls lmk!

Gracie knew it was a mistake to choose a costume that required a wig and wings, she didn't mind the little get up but the wig was killing her with adjusting every once and awhile. So she was grabbing another drink when she recognize someone as she paused mid adjustment of her wig that she laughed. "Peyton?" She called out as she dropped her arms back to her sides and walking closer, "is that you?"

Mantis stepped through the door of their shared apartment, a wide grin on her face as she cradled her new feline companion in her arms. The excitement bubbled within her, eager to share the joy of her latest addition to the household with her roommate. Yet, amidst her enthusiasm, a subtle unease lingered at the periphery of her thoughts, a nagging whisper urging caution, although she wasn't sure what she should be showing caution towards or for. Brushing it aside for the moment, Mantis cuddled the cat to her face, her eagerness to reveal her new furry friend to her roommate overwhelming any sense of foreboding even as it tightened its grip on her subconscious. "Peyton!" She called out, hoping that the other wasn't still in bed. "I have someone I want you to meet!"

Nothing was perfect, but in Cole's arms for even just a minute, Peyton felt as if all was right in the world again. For that short time in his embrace, she could convince herself that she wasn't in a continuous cycle of one fucked-up event after the other and that things were hunky-dory. That was always the sort of comfort he gave her, no matter how many times she got caught in a mess or whatever kind of mess it was. Without fail, he managed to put her back together not with a complicated plan that had 20 steps but with something as simple as a hug.
She took a deep breath and pulled away, bringing her hands up to her face. There were no more tears left to cry, and at this point she'd concluded that—no matter how much he cared for him—Nate wasn't worth it. She looked at Cole and could tell that he felt bad for what just happened, too; after all, they were brothers. Were things always like this between them? Nate barreling through life and Cole lagging behind to pick up the pieces.
Either way, it was no way to live.
"Trust me, I'm going to block his number, and the only way he'll be able to get in touch with me is through, like, snail mail or something." A huff left her lips. Then she looked at Cole, guilt swimming in her stomach over what he'd just had to do. She needed to get a grip so they could both get some rest; she didn't even want to know what time it was. "You should just spend the night here, if you're not doing anything. I can make breakfast in the morning to make it up to you, and... yeah. That's what we'll do. Mmkay? You'll take the bed."
The thing about adrenaline was that it caused you to act first and think later, and Cole's brain was still playing catch up as he watched his brother stumble back into the dark of the night. The threat gone, his heart still pounded in his chest, and he was taken aback by the hug he suddenly found himself enveloped in. One second violence, the next intimacy. The contrast struck him like a lightning rod, but his arms wrapped around her all the same, like he didn't have a choice.
If his brain had been working, he would've said Nate doesn't think, but at the moment neither did he, so he said nothing instead. Not for a long time. Not until his heartbeat evened out to match hers, thumping slower and lighter against his chest.
"Don't call him tomorrow," he warned, as if it was his choice to make. Cole had a bad habit of bossing people around when he thought he was right, which was most of the time. "You should get some sleep."
He let go, pulling back to rub the heels of his palms against his tired eyes. He couldn't go home yet - not if that's where Nate was headed. His mother would kill the both of them before they got the chance. But he didn't work until late the next day, and he'd never been afraid to spend a night out under the stars. Their silence tended to match his own in a comforting way.

For Bejo this was a job. A means to an end. The only thing he deserved was suffering. He can be emotionless for the greater good. At least that's what he told himself.
Being Peyton's handler challenges that. Even if he wouldn't dare act out on it there was something resilent. Something beautiful in a way that she believed in better- even if said better was his demise. Part of him wanted to let her go but part of him knew he had to at least watch from a distance. There was a sigh as he leaned against the wall arching his eyebrow at Peyton.
"Having a good night?"

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA (2023) Grade: C+
I didn't think it was as bad some say. Kang the Conqueror was a good villain & Jonathan Majors was excellent.
The climax could've been improved. Maybe an overall shorter time length as well. Special effects were average.
